Keeping Track of Symptoms Between Visits

Tools that help patterns emerge.

Symptoms often blur together over time. Tracking them consistently helps providers see the bigger picture and helps you feel validated. Even a simple log can reveal patterns that change the direction of care.

Aging Care

To track symptoms, you can use a digital app, pen and paper, the Notes app in your phone, your daily planner - whatever system is best for you. Decide on one and commit to using it for a specific amount of time, such as the next week. Give it some time to see how it works for you, and start small.

The most important part? Track consistently and make it easy to share with your doctors.

This free, fillable pdf is a diary of symptoms you can use to track a symptom for 7 days.

Autoimmune Support

When you are diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, you experience many different types of grief. Loss of control is one of the hardest parts.

Symptom tracking helps you take your control back. By tracking new symptoms, medication changes, good days, and bad, patterns start to appear. Data is your best friend when heading into any specialist appointment.

Hot tip: I only track when I am in a flare or running into a recurring problem. Daily use can feel stressful and make you hyper focus on symptoms.
