Where and How to Store Your Practical Life Information (So You and Your Loved Ones Aren’t Left Guessing)
A quick note: We share free tools and resources we believe are genuinely helpful. There are no ads, sponsorships, or financial incentives involved.
A couple of weeks ago, we talked about what to have ready. This week, let’s look at free resources to help you with where and how.
When a health crisis, emergency, or loss occurs, the last thing anyone wants to be doing is hunting down passwords, paperwork, or contact lists. Knowing where and how to store practical life information can save hours of stress and prevent costly mistakes.
Everplans is an online platform and app that helps you organize life details by category. The base plan is free, and a premium paid option is available.
Vial of Life is a medical information form that you complete and post on your refrigerator for easy EMS access. It’s also helpful to keep 1-2 days of your medications with the Vial of Life in case of emergency.
Pen and paper work just fine, too. Write it down, keep it in a simple folder in a visible, easy-to-grab place (or a go-bag for appointments).
Next Steps
Talk to your power-of-attorney and loved ones about this information and where it is. Communicate openly and often because emergencies can happen to anyone, anytime.
